One option to help our dogs and cats is to temporarily foster them in your home while they are recovering from different situations.
Temporary and therapeutic foster homes
Foster homes are an indispensable tool for animals that, due to various reasons, cannot be placed in our shelters. The feeding of the animals received is the responsibility of the host, although in very specific cases it will be valued that the protector takes care of it. Veterinary care for the animals received will have a reduced cost in our facilities and, also in very specific cases, the protector will assume the entire cost. Foster homes take care of animals of any age that require attention. The fostering time can vary from a month to a longer period. You can help animals that suffer extreme malnutrition, surgically intervened, with diseases that require daily medication, that show signs of stress and suffer more intensely from sudden changes in temperature.

Foster homes for nursing mothers
Foster homes for nursing mothers
Sometimes we receive dog or cat mothers with their puppies and kittens at the shelters. To ensure the health and good socialization of the cubs, as well as a calm environment for nursing mothers, we need foster homes that can offer these mothers the right space.

Babysitters
Babysitters take newborn or up to two-month-old puppies and kittens home. The volunteer’s work allows the cub to gain strength before entering the shelter to look for a family. Babysitters will have to do the incredible and satisfactory task of mimicking what the absent mother would do in a natural state, such as heating, cleaning, feeding and stimulating them to learn to have a bowel movement.

Socialization homes for mistrustful kittens
As you may know, kittens keep coming in. Most of them have a good character and it doesn’t take long before they find adopters, but there are many of them that without being feral are quite mistrustful and no one wants to adopt them… We need people experienced with untrusting kittens who want to take one or two kittens home to get them used to physical touch and human presence so that they can find adopters and they don’t have to grow up in the shelter. 15 days minimum.
Fill in the form and help these kittens get ready to be adopted.
