Our foundation is to fight and work so that animals can live with the dignity and respect they deserve. We are pursuing a fairer world for all these lives which, too often, are subject to human caprice and ambition. The welfare, care and rights of animals, as well as their protection and that of their environment, are the main objectives that have motivated us forever and those that continue to keep us moving. Our dogs and cats need a second chance, a home from which to forget the difficult and traumatic moments of abandonment. That is why our main objective is adoption. Think that by adopting you save two lives: that of the animal you adopt and that of the one that can take its place in the reception center.

About us
The Foundation of the Protective Society of Animals of Mataró
The Foundation for the Defence of Animals and Nature (Daina Foundation) was created in 2010 by the Mataró Animal Protection Society, with the aim of having more tools to protect animals. The Foundation works closely with its founding society, with whom it shares objectives, work protocols and values. The Mataró Foundation and Protector strives every day to show that animals have the right to take their place in society and to show that a protectionist management of abandonment and animal abuse is possible.
Our commitment
· Protection and care of animals: We provide medical, emotional and physical care to all the animals we have received in the shelters we manage.
· Education and awareness: We believe that education is key to promoting a change in the way animals are treated. Through our educational programme, we seek to promote empathy and respect for animals.
· Collaboration with the community: We are proud to work in collaboration with companies, schools and community organizations to promote animal welfare and make a positive difference in the lives of animals and people in our community.
